Family Bank organized a celebration in the occasion of the National Day and Coronation Day of His Majesty coincide with the country’s celebration in Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Social Committee prearranged for the event at the Bank’s headquarters which started with the greetings that was introduced by the CEO and the Board Member of the Bank Dr. Khalid Abdullah Ateeq; where these celebrations reflect the national unity amongst the people in the community, and strengthen the love to express the gratitude for the Bahraini governance, wishing for more prosperity and progress to our beloved country.

As well as, the Bank and its admission sent their appreciation and compliments to His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa the King of Bahrain, and to His Royal Highness the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, and to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and to all Bahraini citizens for this occasion.

The CEO and the Board Member of the Family Bank; Dr. Khalid Abdullah Ateeq welcomed Kuwaiti Zakat House Delegates at Family Bank headquarters in order for them to learn about the experience and the Bank’s programmes and services in Micro-enterprises .

Throughout the visit, the delegates were; Mr. Nassir AlHamidi AlAnzi, Mr. Jassim Mohammed AlShaikh, Mr. Abdullah Jassim AlYaseen, Ms. Hadeel Khalid AlMazeed, Ms. Muna Khalifa AlSharida, Mr. Mohammed AlObaidli and the lawyer Mr. Fawazan AlSinan who were received a detailed explenation from the CEO Dr. Khalid Abdulla Ateeq and the other managers at the Bank. The lecture was about what the Bank can provide such as; financial support to people and families of limited income through services and enterprise programs that are applicable to the Islamic laws. As well as the role Family Bank plays in increasing the humble Bahraini Families’ income who are incapable of improving their lives and use their energy to start their own small successful businesses  focusing on those who have talents and the determination but do not have enough money, experience or skills to start their journey.

Kuwaiti Zakat House delegates, expressed their interest in the programs the Bank developed that its financial and non-financial services help the individuals to get into the market to improve themselves which can support the economic situation in Bahrain. In addition, the delegates liked the Bank’s program because of its ability to enhance the situation of the families with limited income as well as the country’s economy.

The CEO & the Board Member of the Family Bank Dr. Khalid Abdulla Ateeq welcomed the Minister of Labour in the state of Palestine Dr. Mamoun Abu Shahla and the Palestinian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Mr. Taha Moh’d Abdulqader at Family Bank Headquarter in order for them to learn about the experience and the Bank Programmes and services in micro and small enterprises.

During the visit, the delegation heard a detailed explanation from the CEO & department managers at the Family Bank about what the Bank can provide such as; financial support to people and families of limited income through services and enterprise programs that are applicable to the Islamic laws. Minister of Labour and Social Development, and the head of Family Bank’s board; Mr. Jameel Bin Mohammed Bin Ali Humaidan chaired both Annual General Association and family bank’s board meetings which were held in his library the day before yesterday.

Family Bank’s accomplishments that were made since it has been established in 2010, were shown during the meeting of General Association. Throughout those years, the Bank was able to achieve a significant position in the Islamic finance field. Ensuring to move forward in developing and growing their funding services which are provided by the Bank.

In addition, some matters were discussed throughout General Association meeting; such as; investigating the matters which reinforce the efforts put into improving the standard of living and economic empowerment for the Bahraini families; through supporting productive families, small enterprises and businessmen. In addition, Family Bank plays a role in order to support governmental programs to solve the issue of unemployment through providing an opportunity to start their own businesses for those who are looking for jobs. Besides that, preparing the suitable atmosphere to do the essential initiatives for individuals with limited income to improve and encourage them.

After the General Association meeting, Family Bank Board meeting was held and chaired by the minister of Labour and Social Development, the head of Family Bank’s board; Mr. Jameel Bin Mohammed Bin Ali Humaidan with the attendance of the Bank’s vice president; Mustafa Al Sayed, and the Family Bank CEO, Dr. Khalid Ateeq. Where some amendments were discussed which were about the process of work and an agreement was done about the Bank’s future plan.

Family Bank was able to indulge with businessmen to achieve different success stories and special experiences in entrepreneurship field through providing the suitable funding for their projects, or through giving consultation sessions from (The Idea’s Market) the Bank owns. This market aims to provide different ideas which concern growing thoughts for businesses and assist any individual who wants to start their business to satisfy their interest and need. In addition to educate them, provide a business plan for marketing and train them on business basic skills.

Family Bank received Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum Award for supporting youth businesses about “the best initiative for small and medium enterprises in the Arab world.”, which was in 2013 during a very competitive year among applicants from associations and companies from the Arabian countries. The Bank has passed several standards which were put by judges who are significant in the business field. Besides that, Family Bank’s contribution in funding productive families played a major role in choosing project “56wa= A Step” to win the Arabian Gulf award (AGFUND), the international competition for human development projects in 2014 in the field of marketing for homemade products, where the winning was among four other projects which won the award amongst 59 projects that were elected to win the reward in its four other branches submitted by 43 other countries from four continents.

Tamkeen’s CEO, Dr. Ibrahim Janahi, met with the CEO of the Family Bank Dr. Khalid Abdullah Ateeq in the presence of representatives of both parties. They discussed ways to intensify joint efforts to provide concessional financing to individuals and small enterprises and provide opportunities to grow and develop.

Family Bank participated in Tamkeen’s second edition of “Kun Muntijan” and this event one of the initiative comes as part of a series of interactive events, which aim to help micro-enterprises become more aware of the support and solutions available to them.

During the event, a number of representatives of the Family Bank educating them about the ways in financing solutions that can contribute to the bank in order to develop their business.

The Family Bank as the first bank specializing in the financing of acts of micro, where banking business is based on the provisions of the Islamic Sharia, which represents a model of the economy’s social through a partnership between the public and private sectors, as well as model social projects that improve the income of the citizen and upgrading its level, through the provision of financial and non-financial services in a manner consistent with the provisions of Islamic Sharia.

During the meeting with v2v Associates Company delegates; Family Bank researched about the services and programs they provide and the main role which the Bank plays in order to increase the income of individuals and Bahraini families through supporting them financially,  and create freelance job opportunities.

The CEO & Board Member of the Family Bank Dr. Khalid Abdullah Ateeq mentioned that the delegates visit was to learn about the Bank’s atmosphere at work and the multi services it provides such as; small enterprises which work upon the Islamic laws; where the Bank works with the authorization of The Central Bank of Bahrain. This visit will open new perspectives and strengthen relations in the field of exchanging work experience and joint effort in order to develop the business foundation in Bahrain. In addition to grow associations with small enterprises which work upon Islamic law.

Mr. John Morris; the executive manager of v2v associates, expressed his admiration for the programs which were developed by the Bank and the suitability of its financial and non-financial services that help individuals to enter the market and improve themselves; that will help to revive the economic status in Kingdom of Bahrain. Besides that, he was fond of the Bank’s notion and its involvement in enhancing the situation of people from limited income and the country’s economy.

A delegation from the Assembly of Reform visit Family Bank and the delegation met with the executive management were reviewed during the meeting experience Family Bank in the microfinance industry CEO Dr. Khalid Ateeq, and he gave the delegation a detailed explanation for the bank and for the role played by in the service of the productive families and small enterprises have some of the success stories of the review of some of the bank’s customers have expressed admiration for the delegation this experience has reviewed the delegation Bakdmunha programs that aid families. Allajtmaa was attended by both Mr. Abdullah Saleh, Director of Microfinance and Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Mousa observer legitimate bank.

Some of the productive families have participated in this exhibition after receiving the required support from the family bank and encourage them to turn them from families of low-income families to lead productive economic role in society and improve Dechlhaalmada and availability of competing regional products.

The exhibition was keen to offer that is new and unique in the field of domestic production and the development potential and the development of methods and new opportunities to promote their products.

And it included products to participate in this year’s award new ideas and advanced indicating a strong rivalry between the families, so that it is improving the standard of living for their effective participation in the national economy of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
